QCNet - What settings are recommended for use with QCNet 4.0?

1) If you are having issues linking to the new QCNet site, your internet cache may contain the old QCNet site information. The following steps may be followed to clear all "cookies" and "internet temporary files":

a) In the Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar, click on Tools | Internet Options | General
b) Select Delete Cookies
c) Select Delete Files
d) Navigate to www.qcnet.com

2) If you have bookmarked QCNet in the Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites folder, the old QCNet site will need to be deleted, and the new QCNet site will need to be added. Please use the following steps to add the new QCNet site to your Favorites folder:

a) In the Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar, click on Favorites | Organize Favorites
b) Navigate to the old QCNet Favorite file; select it; and click Delete
c) Navigate to www.qcnet.com
d) In the Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar; click on Favorites | Add to Favorites
e) Navigate to the desired location; click OK

3) If you use QCNet in languages other than English, you can now access these sites by navigating to www.qcnet.it (Italian), www.qcnet.de (German), www.qcnet.es (Spanish), or www.qcnet.fr (French). Alternatively, you can navigate to www.qcnet.com, and click on the desired language in the upper left hand area of the new home page.

4) If you are having issues displaying UnityTM reports, you may be using Adobe Reader 6.0 which has a known problem. Adobe recommends updating the Adobe Reader. Use the following steps to accomplish this task:

a) Launch Adobe Reader.
b) Click on Help | Check for updates now
c) Follow Adobe's instructions for updating your Reader to the latest version (downloads are free).
d) Alternatively, go to www.Adobe.com, and download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

5) If you are using a pop-up blocker, please add www.qcnet.com and www.cola.org to the list of allowed sites as follows:

a) For Microsoft Internet Explorer, click Tools | Internet Options | Privacy
b) If the pop-up blocker is checked, select Settings
c) Add www.qcnet.com and www.cola.org to the list of allowed sites; type www.qcnet.com into the Address of Web site to allow: box; click add. Repeat for www.cola.org.
d) For other blockers (Norton, Yahoo, Google, etc.), follow the manufacturer's instructions for allowing www.qcnet.com and www.cola.org to the list of allowed sites.

6) Make sure you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or higher installed.

a) To check your Microsoft Internet Explorer version, in the Microsoft Internet Explorer toolbar, select Help | About Internet Explorer
b) If the version is below 7, go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/default.mspx, and download version 6.
