When creating a database backup I get the following error "Cannot open backup device Operating system error 5 (Access Denied)"

The error is indicating that the user does not have full access to the backup drive or folder or both. In order to resolve the user will need to be granted full access to the drive or folder, or backup to new location that the user has full access to.
