Reference method values (RMV's) play an important role in global harmonization efforts of clinical diagnostic tests. Bio-Rad EQAS offers participants the ability to evaluate correlation of their adopted methodology to established reference methods for Hemoglobin A1C. RMV’s are established by independent Level II NGSP certified laboratories as having documented traceability to the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) Reference Method and will be posted here in both NGSP (%) and IFCC (mmol/mol) units after each respective sample close.
